A few additional notes:

Jason Fry was at our meeting to talk about his hope to pass off Youth Soccer to someone else beginning next fall. This is the 6th year that he and his wife have been doing the job, and they are ready to help someone new take over! Please contact Jason at 854-9963 if you are interested.

Shelley Dean, SCS Board of Education President, was also at our meeting to discuss and issue a challenge to the youth in our community: since current times call for doing more with LESS, she suggested Let's Engage the Salem Spirit. Her hope is that we can energize the youth, with adult support, to propose and carry out solutions to problems we are facing. Let's see what great ideas our youth can generate!!

And a very important final note is that a very energized and committed group of kids is planning a Halloween Dance for Friday, October 29th from 7 - 10 PM at the Youth Barn at the Courthouse. This dance will be for kids in grades 7 through 12. Stay tuned for more details!!
